So apparently, lots of you enjoyed my instastory last night which contained these bad boys. I have to say, I normally don’t make my own #roastpotatoes I tend to buy frozen ones, good frozen ones usually in goose or duck fat. But for some reason, yesterday, I jumped in and made these. They were divine. I used butter and a little olive oil. Salt and pepper. Today’s bake, a bit of a classic with a twist. It’s Mary Berry’s lemon drizzle traybake, which I have cooked in 3 foil take-away containers (obviously unused) and my little twist is a smidge of cardamom. I’m yet to taste, but if you think about it, cardamom does have a lemon-ness which I’m hoping is going to complement the taste. Fingers crossed! This is going to sound ridiculous, but this week I bought my very first whole pineapple. I regularly buy the rings tinned in juice, I always have a stash of them in the house. But never a whole pineapple. It is now officially my new favourite fruit. What can I say about Nigella’s Emergency Brownies? Is it possible for a recipe to be dangerous? When I say dangerous, I mean so simple, so delicious, quite frankly you need an excuse not to make them. And trust me, anyone can make these. What I love about them is that there’s hardly any measuring. But it’s still baking. I have adapted the recipe slightly because I cannot help myself.
